Mt. Rainier

Grandma Betty from ND is visiting and had never been up to Mt. Rainier, so last Friday we ventured forth. It was a beautiful, warm day and it was quite busy with many other visitors opting to do the same. Fortunately, we entered the park on the west side, because Stevens Canyon Road is closed for repairs due to winter damage.

Gorgeous views, warm sunshine, sweet scented flowers, twittering birds, followed by burgers and blackberry pie - 'twas a feast for all the senses.

Olympic National Park

After seeing the movie Twilight, which was lush with moody gray Pacific NW scenes, I was inspired to go back thru some images I shot a year ago at Olympic National Park. These are the Hoh Rainforest, Lake Quinalt, and Beach 4 near Kalaloch. You can see more in the slideshow on my website.
